Each fund element value must have a fund classification. You may select the fund classifications individually as you add element values to the fund element, but you may also be able to speed the process by using the Set Fund Classification command to select fund classifications for a group of element values.
The command is only available for element values that haven't been used in any transactions.
Select Element Value Maintenance from the Chart of Accounts menu, and the Element Value Maintenance window opens.
Select the account Structure from the pull-down list if it hasn't defaulted to the structure in which you want to work.
Select Fund from the Select Element pull-down list, and the existing element values are displayed.
Check the box(es) for the element value(s) for which you want to designate fund classifications.
Select Set Fund Classification from the More menu, and the Select Fund Classification window opens.
Select the Fund Classification from the pull-down list, and click OK.
