Edit a Purchase Order

POs can only be edited in the New state. Once a PO has been issued, you'll need to create a change order if you need to edit it.

You can issue a PO while editing it in the Purchase Order Details window, or issue multiple POs from the Purchase Order window.

Edit a PO

  1. Select Purchase Order from the Purchasing menu. The Purchase Order window opens.

  2. If needed, select the vendor to shorten the list and make it easier to locate the PO. You can enter the vendor name in the Quick Search field or use the pinned Ordering Vendor filter.

  3. Select a PO in the New state, and click the Edit button at the bottom of the window, or click the PO Number link. The Purchase Order Details popup opens.

Edit header items

  1. Edit information in the section at the top of the window, as needed.

  2. If you don't need to edit the Order Items, click Save.

Edit order items & account codes

  1. Check the box for the order item you want to edit, and click the Edit button at the bottom of the window, or click the Item No. link. The Purchase Order Item Details window opens.

  2. Edit the information as needed, including the account code and/or account code allocation.

  3. When you're done editing the order item, click Save button to save the changes.

Issue the PO

When you're finished reviewing and/or editing the PO, click Issue Purchase Order.
