Payroll Configuration — Payroll Cycles tab

Use the Payroll Cycles tab to define payroll cycles, pay periods & pay dates.

Payroll cycles and pay periods are specific to accounting cycles.

Payroll cycles contain the payroll periods for which employees will be paid.

Multiple payroll cycles can be created to pay employees for different payroll period types. For example, the employer may have a group of employees that are paid on a monthly basis and others that are paid on a biweekly basis.

There is no limit to the number of payroll cycles that you create, but each employee can only be assigned to one payroll cycle.
